Lakewood Escrow, Inc. is an independent escrow company with one office in Lakewood, Washington. The company is owned and operated by Robin LaCroix and Stephanie Meath, both Limited Practice Officers with many years of closing experience. They joined forces in 2000 to offer Lakewood and the surrounding community the very best in quality and personal residential closing services.
The mission of Lakewood Escrow is very simple; to assure each and every transaction is given personal, immediate attention by a qualified individual. The goal is to make the closing process as smooth, trouble-free and understandable as possible through our involvement. Many of our clients tell us at the closing table "this was the easiest part in the whole process". It should be! When the parties to a transaction form a team with the same goal, it will be.
Limited Practice Officers are appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of Washington after passing an examination and meeting the criteria. LPO's are held to the same standards as an Attorney and are allowed to select and prepare specific legal documents for property anywhere in the state of Washington. The Department of Financial Institutions for the State oversees the licensing and auditing of all independent escrow agents. Lakewood Escrow, Inc., a registered escrow agent, is bonded and insured for $1 million Errors & Omissions per state requirements. The State of Washington has created a system of closing real estate transactions that protects the consumer through examination, approval and continuing education of Limited Practice Officers; licensing, auditing and proof of insurance and financial responsibility for the escrow agents.
