About Us:
Lakewood Escrow, Inc., is an independent escrow company located in Lakewood, Washington. The company is owned and operated by Robin LaCroix and Stephanie Meath, both Limited Practice Officers with many years of closing experience. They joined forces in 2000 to offer Lakewood, Puyallup, University Place, Tacoma, Dupont, and the surrounding community the very best in quality and personal residential closing services.
Limited Practice Officers are appointed by the Supreme Court of the State of Washington after passing an examination and meeting the required criteria. LPO's are held to the same standards as an Attorney and are allowed to select and prepare specific legal documents for property anywhere in the state of Washington. The Department of Financial Institutions for the State oversees the licensing and auditing of all independent escrow agents. Lakewood Escrow, Inc., a registered escrow agent, is bonded and insured for $1 million Errors and Omissions as per state requirements. The State of Washington has created a system of closing real estate transactions that protects the consumer through examination, approval, and continuing education of Limited Practice Officers; licensing, auditing, and proof of insurance and financial responsibility for the escrow agents.
